Ascender
The Ascender is an incredibly powerful weapon, the product of following through with the Arsenal Of The Ascended quest. This weapon actually deals less damage on hit than the Exiled Blade, however it more than makes up for this with its other abilities: It swings much faster, can rapidly cut through blocks in its arc and has a special ability: When jump is held for a second, it will charge and unleash a whirlwind attack over the next few seconds. During this attack, the blade will rapidly swing around the climber in a circular radius, destroying all surrounding blocks and enemies. The climber will ascend with great speed as the attack is executed, allowing great heights to be traversed with ease. The whirlwind attack can be canceled by releasing jump. The related quest is completed by unleashing the weapon's whirlwind attack while standing atop the Floor 101 obelisk and passing through the three floating stones above.
Lore
The Ascenders were used by the Arsenal Of The Ascended during the War long ago. After their duty was complete the blades were cursed, becoming the Exiled Blades, repurposed as fans, though capable of being returned to their original state if neccesary.

Obtaining
It is created when an Exiled Blade is struck by a bolt from the Vapour Wand.
