Boomerangs, when thrown, fly in a straight line, damaging enemies and bouncing off of blocks before returning on a course towards the player.
If it is left in the air without being picked up for too long it will fall to the ground. The boomerang will not provide an upward boost when used to item hop, though it will cancel the climber's momentum.
Obtaining
Boomerangs can be found in Chests, Red Chests or Polymorphed into.
