It does not launch the player so high as the spring box does, but it gives them and items a reasonable bounce, over and over again. It is especially effective for item hopping as its bounce will activate in mid-air and provide greater hopping distance.

The spent spring box can be obtained as a byproduct of using a Spring Box.
