They are needed to be placed upon two special blocks in order to activate them and pass Krystelle's test. If they are brought to the statue in the room immediately afterwards they can be exchanged for a legend fragment.
Lore
These orbs apparently served as the eyes for a mysterious sentient stone head located just below the peak of the Chapter 1 tower. Krystelle had apparently stolen them in order to facilitate her game with the Climber.
Obtaining
Two of these orbs are encountered during the Krystelle fight in Chapter 1.
